FEATURES

Everything you need.
Nothing writes for you.

Every screen below is Pubsworth as it is today, filled with made-up writing.

WRITE

A quiet page and a goal for today

Focus mode clears everything but your words. Set a word goal for each session and each day, and watch the two rings fill as you write. A small, clear target makes it easier to start, and you’ll know when you’ve done enough for today.

ONE-OFFS

Every short piece, from idea to ready

Posts, essays, and newsletters move across your own columns. Hashtags in your text become labels, and anything you pin stays close. You always know what’s half-written, what’s ready, and what to pick up next.

PROJECTS

Long work, built from cards

Write chapters and scenes on cards, then move them around your canvas until the order feels right. Stack cards to keep your notes together. Moving a scene takes one drag, not a cut and a paste, so it’s easy to try a new order.

BOARD

Every act in its own column

Switch a project to a board and each stack becomes a column. Drag scenes between acts, or switch the columns to your phases and watch the book move from idea to ready. A thin act or a pile of unfinished scenes shows up at a glance.

LIST

The whole book on one page

The list shows every card in reading order, with its word count and when you last touched it. Drag a row to move a scene. Your canvas and your compiled draft follow. It’s the quickest way to see how long each part runs and to find the scene you want.

SCREENPLAYS

Scripts that format as you type

Scene headings, action, characters, dialogue, and transitions each land in the right place. Press Enter and the next line picks the likely element. You think about the scene, not the margins.

PROSE

See your habits on the page

The Words panel counts every word on your page and sorts them into fillers, adverbs, adjectives, and more. Pick a type and it lights up in your text, with a suggested limit for adverbs. Keep a watchlist of the words you lean on. You find the loose sentences, and every fix is still yours.

COMPILE

From cards to a finished draft

Compile gathers your cards, in order, into one manuscript or script. Export to Markdown for prose. Export to Fountain for scripts. Write in pieces and still hand over one clean file, with nothing to copy and paste.

CALENDAR

Plan when your writing goes out

Schedule pieces on a calendar and see a month of publishing at a glance. Empty weeks show up early, so you can keep a steady rhythm your readers can count on.

VERSIONS

Every draft has its history

Pubsworth keeps earlier versions as you write, so you can cut freely and change your mind later. Any version is a tap away, and restoring one keeps the version it replaces.

ON YOUR PHONE

Write where you are

Inspiration doesn’t wait for your desk. Start a scene on your phone and finish it on your laptop. If your connection drops mid-sentence, your words keep saving until it’s back.
